STOP SMOG

ADOPT A TREE

find out how much CO2 you emit and capture it with trees

PURPOSE

The aim of the "Adopt a tree" project, consistent with the mission aimed at the "Common Good and Living Well" of the Centro San Cresci project, is to guarantee the reforestation of the 657-hectare wooded area of the "San Cresci Agricultural Estate" to San Cresci of Borgo San Lorenzo (Florence) which, together with other operators in the area, gave life to the Forestry Consortium Mugello, which will provide for the renovation of about 25 hectares a year of the over 500 hectares of existing forest, abandoned for over 30 years from the previous owner, whose costs amount to about 10,000 euros / ha.

The Agricola San Cresci company gives the opportunity to neutralize the CO2 emissions of owned cars and company fleets to citizens and companies, taking responsibility for them,

by adopting one or more trees from any citizen and / or company that with joy and enthusiasm will want to contribute to the renewal of the wooded area that will be so visitable and usable and source of the desired absorption of CO2.

Those who will adopt one or more trees and will pay the contribution will be entered in a special register of adopters held by the Agricola San Cresci, which will also provide special totems that will be displayed in the areas of the estate on which the name of the adopter will be reported..

Each adopted tree will be a symbol of healthy and positive life in the Centro San Cresci project.

In the winter of 2017-2018, cities like Milan, Turin, Rome and Naples have repeatedly crossed the threshold of 35 consecutive days with high concentrations of fine dust.

The Po Valley is the most polluted region of Europe with a high concentration of dangers and risks to which urban centers are exposed due to climate change.

Today, recent and less recent mistakes have been added to the long wave of "bad industry" based on selfishness and incompetence. Nowadays urban centers are sources of stress and disease, where people live only with the work-money-consumption logic. Individualism and ignorance have allowed serious negligence of non-responsibility on the part of the political class that has not safeguarded the territory to prevent landslides and floods from damaging cities, as happened in Liguria, Sardinia, Tuscany, Lazio, Sicily, etc. causing the death of several people.

Unfortunately politics spends money proposing useless "palliatives". We all have to open our eyes and understand responsibly that we can no longer continue to tell each other lies that do not serve to solve the problem, but we must make decisions in the first person.

Human beings face extinction if the destruction of the

plants continues: 'The laws of thermodynamics have no mercy'.

By 2050, humans will either become extinct or will be forced to return to hunter-gatherer lifestyles if they continue to destroy the plant life of the Earth.

The underlying reason for the crisis we are experiencing is the gradual depletion of mineral resources, including the ability of the atmosphere to absorb the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities conditioned by the lifestyles proposed in the cities / megalopolis.

... "the Earth is in a serious energy imbalance due to the use of energy by human beings. This imbalance defines our most dominant conflict with nature. It is really a conflict, in the sense that the current energy imbalance, a crisis unprecedented in the history of the Earth, is a direct consequence of technological innovation. For the first time in history, humanity is facing a global chemical energy limit.

The earth-space battery paradigm provides a simple framework for understanding the historical effects of human beings on the energy dynamics of the biosphere, including the unalterable thermodynamic boundaries that now pose serious challenges to the future of the human species. The Equilibrium is inhospitable, sterile and final "... taken from" International Business Times "by Hannah Osborne.

We invite young people who "survive" in the cities to repopulate the Tenuta di San Cresci. We offer them a High Quality Lifestyle, so as to safeguard the wooded area that due to sudden climate changes could "collapse" both on the neighboring countries and on the town below (Borgo San Lorenzo - FI) following a "bomb" d water, cause of a possible flood.

THE TREES USED

The operation involves the renewal of about 25 hectares the year that will allow a systematic twenty-year rotation of the trees, allowing the reconstruction of the chestnut groves and other quality woody essences in addition to the restoration of the hydrogeological system of the territory. White poplar (Populus alba L.), Black poplar (Populus nigra L.), Tiglio (Tilia platyphyllos and Tilia cordata Miller), Gattero (Popolus tremula L.), Roverella (Quercus pubescens Willd.), Willows of various species (Salix sp. In the analysis of solutions to the current crisis we must take inspiration from the many good practices already implemented in the search for sustainable lifestyles.

Experiences that provide concrete and replicable answers. We are now in a phase of radical changes and we must take advantage of it to give voice to these practices, but we need a physical place to do research and training and where we can meet to exchange knowledge and information, collect the experiences already developed and re-launch them with greater vigor.

We need a propulsion center, where we can structure and spread a new economic and cultural thought that leads our companies to embark on a path towards lifestyles that are fully sustainable and respectful of the ecosystem that surrounds us.

We want to create a Center, a replicable model, that is inspiring for other Centers, similar in Europe, in order to create a widespread network that gives even greater strength to our proposals.

This is the purpose that led us to establish the  Fondazione Europea Cammino Futuro. The time has come to create a place to reason at a systemic level to aggregate good practices, activate virtuous circuits and implement change.

To build the Center we launched the fundraising campaign We build the San Cresci Center.
